WALL-E Credits

This really caught my attention. Wall-E - the latest offering from Pixar, has the usual phenomenal visual effects that blow one's mind.
However, it has been most interesting to see the design of the closing credits. For a film that is THE cutting edge and pinnacle of computer-generated visualization, the closing credits describe a history of visualization - from the earliest cave paintings to renaissance painting to impressionism and surrealism - a primer on the essence of "Show, not Tell" - Heartwood's mantra.
It does not always cost thousands of dollars to "tell".

How Long Until We Get 3D TV? | ENLIGHTEN3D

n a story published a couple weeks back in the Times, Sky director of strategic product development Gerry O'Sullivan said that a service could be launched any time in the next two years, depending on the results of trials and on ensuring there was enough content available.

That is far from a commitment, but it is in line with what we have been hearing from others in the industry. Let's take a look at some of the different players involved in 3D cinema and TV, and where each of them stands.

This footage, taken from Japanese TV, gives a hint of things to come in the world of game gaming/entertainment.

It also subtly tells us how visual language and "show" transcends barriers.
I could understand much of it, without understanding a word of Japanese.

For many services companies, their product is their marketing. They don%u2019t need anything else. By making things seem dead-simple, Common Craft demonstrates that their craft is, quite Uncommon :)
